These are the musings of a middle aged man at the turn of the century. Though I may be more the "Country Mouse" than the "City Mouse" my imagination walks on the wild side

One night I was on NoStrings and not finding a lot that was especially interesting. Bouncing back and forth between the computer and the TV (no pun intended my dear "dressers") I discovered that I was both bored and horny, thus, a word was born: "borny"

Well, we had our first snow this week. It wasn't much, you can still see the grass through most of it in my yard, but it was the first of the year.

It's cold now, though, not the kind of weather where you want to play on the webcam so close to the window. It has blinds on it folks, so I don't think my neighbors are enjoying the show.

Anyway, things are changing here. My supervisor, and coincidentally my best friend, retired at the end of the year, and with conditions in the Library being not so nifty, as I have explained elsewhere, being very busy is about the only thing that gets me out the door and on the way to work. After 25 years (26 in March) I suppose its inevitable that the principle reason for going in is more the people than the pay. Its getting close to the time when it isn't going to pay that much more to go to work than it would be to stay home and collect my retirement.

I have always answered that question "what would you do if you won the lottery" by saying I'd still go to work. I guess I'm moving away from that now.

Anyway, this community is still someplace to be, checking in on how friends are doing, and here at home I can at least go to lunch with my friend now and then, whenever the soup is either corn chowder or mushroom bisque. lol

Merry Christmas to all who believe and observe the day.

The best of Kwanzaas to all who celebrate that festival of first fruits.

Happy Chanukah (a little late I know) to those who celebrate the Lord God's miracle of the oil that was only enough for one night lasting for eight.

May you all be blessed in your families, your hopes, your dreams and your selves. In every sense, may we all remember that wondrously simple message given us by the one who's birthday this observes: "love one another".

Hi all,

I haven't posted a blog in a while so I thought I'd post something now. It's 1 AM and I'm off work for the week. Most of the projects I wanted to accomplish are done. I got new tires on the car before winter and the 3 month oil change on Monday, so now I'm mainly napping. I strained a muscle last week doing crunches and the pain just went away this morning, so I started back on the exercises this morning. I am not looking forward to mounting the scale on Monday.

The conditions at work are a little better. We seem to have some heat, at least when it's not below 50 outside. We all still have our space heaters (at our own expense)so we are ok for the moment, but the north wall of our floor is drywall and plastic sheeting. This is where the addition is going so it won't be bricked over like the rest of the building. It gets cold in Southern Illinois in December so we shall see what we shall see.

The main problem is rain. We haven't had snow yet, but we do have an area that is open to the air to our north, south and west, and the rain runs in under the walls along the floor and runs down from the ceiling along the drywall on the north. They do their best, our physical plant people to vacuum up the water, but the leaking along the drywall mildews and leaves the whole floor with an unpleasant smell even when it's not raining. This doesn't seem really conducive to academia, but maybe I'm spoiled. I have been working indoors for the last 25 years.

Anyway, the bitch lamp is now extinguished. That is all.

We're all getting older, you know. Sometimes, especially on a site like this one, we may become more conscious of our ages, particularly in comparison to others.

People, attractive people whose pictures capture our attention, sometimes have set their age limits below where we might like them to be. However, if you send them an e-mail, they are very often cordial, sometimes even receptive to a network invitation and e-mails. It doesn't lead to the boudoir, but communication is a big part of what I am looking for here anyway.

You have to take the evident advance of years in stride. I try to handle things with humor, when faced with a remark that might be considered insulting. This usually puts the person at their ease, since they (and often these are people in the service industries) don't want to insult someone, they just don't know if you qualify for the "senior" discount or not. I had a lady who had just given me a hair cut ask me if I was a senior, and my reply was that "oh no, I finished high school in 1972".

On another occasion the word old came up, and my reply to that is as follows:

When they experimented with the formula for Coca Cola back in the 80s, they called the product "new Coke". Since that went over like a Lead Zeppelin, they had to bring the old formula back. They left the new product on the market for a while, though it's disappeared now. But as they did this, did they call it "new Coke" and "old Coke"? No, they called it "new Coke" and "Classic Coke". So, the next time you start feeling like you're old, just remember, you're a Classic.

On October 9, 1940 a true genius was born in Liverpool to Alf and Julia Lennon.

He lived to be only 40 years old, sharing his birthday with a little man born in 1975 in new York City.

His life was too short, he'd be 66 this year you know, and probably would have already reinvented himself and his art several times, like his former collaborator. His genius goes on forever, and we can choose the samples we like as we see fit.

It's like a great dinner, you can select an appetizer from 1958, a main from 1966 and pudding from 1980.

We miss you John. God bless you Yoko and Sean.

I know this is a public blog, and this may actually be something better put in a network bulletin, but what I have to say is something I should say to the world (or our little part of it)and clear the air.

I used to play in my mother's clothes when I was little. I hadn't done this in quite a while partly owing to being caught and embarassed by my ex-wife once. Lately, as you can tell from my profile, I was noticing more and more about the transgenders, crossdressers and transexuals I saw online. It was exciting.

I hemmed and hawed about this for quite awhile, wimping out as it were, until finally this summer, I decided I had to make a move. So, I ordered some things online and started experimenting with them. Some of it was the wrong size, go figure a man buys a bra and it's too big wishful thinking in extremis, but still it was thrilling to try it on. It was even more thrilling to do some camming with it. I have never gotten so many compliments from viewers. It did wonders for my ego.

Anyway, that's my story folks. I hope it isn't the kind of thing that will drive some of the ladies I have befriended here in the last (3 years on the 23rd of October), but if it does, I'll have to take the bitter with the sweet. I think you gals are wonderful, beautiful people, and you are still enticing, but this is something that has been rattling around inside me for more than 40 years and I think I should explore it.

If anything, it's a testament to the way I feel about the folks here on NoStrings that I feel comfortable telling you all this. It's a different kind of family, a frequently naked family, but a family nonetheless. Thanks for listening friends, and I hope we all have many years of companionship together.

Did you hear how the dinosaur embarassed himself?

It seems he fell into a tarpit and made a fuel of himself.

Opening up a little more

These last few months I have been continuing with my webcamming. I had been getting viewers occasionally right along, but the real change seems to have been my response to them.

At first, when I'd get a viewer who was another man, I'd hit the stop button right away. Then, I'd let things go on as they would until I got a page. At first, that caused me to shut it down, but recently, I have been letting it go. If someone pages me and it's the least bit original, I may respond. I don't know if I'm being too selective or what, but sometimes I just get a sense about someone.

Sometimes when I page someone, I am just as un-original, so I am being a little more openminded about it, I hope. One page I got recently was very short, the kind I'd otherwise ignore, but with the idea that there isn't much space to write in that initial contact, I should be a little more circumspect. It was terrific. It was one of the most stimulating webcams I have had in the whole time I've been on this site.

So, I guess that means I need to open up a little more.

Horny in the heartland

A number of our media outlets refer to this as the Heartland. Apparently this is a kind of "canned" reference that is used all over the middle section of the U.S.

Heartland does fit here, though. Area people gave generously to Katrina victims, and they often seem, at least to us, to be a little more likely to help someone who is in some kind of trouble. That may just be a regional bias though.

Horniness goes deeper than just the groin too, it can apply to the need to communicate with other people about sexual matters, or even strictly emotional ones that you would be reluctant to discuss with your pastor, for example.

This site serves that need, I think, How about you?

I hope that you will find my musings more "a-musing" than "be-musing".

I have been doing some webcamming and I love it. I got started watching other people enjoying themselves, then I started in on my own. I admit, it's quite a turn on when someone pops up as a viewer, even more so when I get a page. I don't get responses all the time, but for the moment, I'm still holding my own.
