We have returned from our trip to San Diego. There were some fun and interesting moments and some frustrating disappointments.

It was fun to tour San Diego. We took one of the guided and narrated tours of the City. We also took a 2 hour cruise of the harbor and watched navy seals run about in their small rubber boats and wet suits. We saw aircraft carriers, and troop transport ships, helicopters and F-18's.

We spent 2 days on the Marine Corp recruit depot. Graduation was moved indoors due to rain,,,, how unusual for San Diego. They only get a few inches a year and they got a couple that day. So we were disappointed that graduation for our wasn't the grand event we went to see.

I have learned I hate traveling on airlines. I just hated the security and boarding lines even tho they were short. And our layovers were short too but my patience was stretched.

I read a book on the flights that I had meant to get to for some time. "History, Law and Christianity" by John Warwick Montgomery. It is pretty short. He explains why the new testament is an unimpeachable account of the life of Jesus. Probably the most reliable account of anyones life in that time period. That by applying the same rules of evidence normally used in courts of law, they would stand up as eyewitness accounts of trustworthy witnesses of the events.

I was volunteered yesterday to work so it will be a short weekend for me.

We got a dump of snow last night on top of the ice that arrived while we were in California. That makes getting in and out of the acreage with it's long sloped driveway a real challenge. I may have to borrow a tractor and loader and do some removal. We rarely remove the snow and drive over it with the 4X4's but this is an early storm and it doesn't look like it will melt off anytime soon.

went out before the sun came up. It was very still air. Drove the 4 wheeler out to where I thought I might have dropped my phone. Called my number with another phone and luckily mine wasn't dead. It rang and the light flashed. I wouldn't have found it if it hadn't rung. It was down in the tall grass.

Dammit,,, phone fell out of my pocket while riding 4 wheeler across newly disked field. I think I know about where. Felt something drop but didn't think about what it could have been until later when I needed my phone. So tomorrow am I'll be walking along the field calling my own number hoping it rings and I can hear it.

The companies business plan is starting to take shape. We believe some large investors are going to come in and capitalize increased production and marketing efforts.

I expect we will be hiring people after the Christmas holiday. Finally I'll have people. lol

Alan Keyes is entering the presidential race for 2008. He stands no chance of winning because he comes off as running for national pastor but I love to have him in the debate because he is so confident and well spoken. He is unflappable. And unlike the rest of the GOP candidates, he seems to have actually read and reveres the constitution and Declaration of Independence. He is my favorite candidate followed by Duncan Hunter.
I wish Alan Keyes would move to South Dakota and run for the Senate. I think he could win in South Dakota. From there (after a few terms)he could run for the President again and probably succeed.

I've been very busy the last couple of weeks. Leave for work at 6 am and generally get home around 8:30 pm. 6 days a week.
Before I go to work, I take care of my and exercise him for about 20 minutes.
When I get home I check on the neighbors bulls that are being boarded in my pasture and feed them.

The demand for the product the company produces is increasing so we are talking about hiring more people soon.

My leg is healing, but I've been limping for two weeks. This week, both legs were sore and aching.
Can't wait to get back to 100%

The holidays will soon be here to further complicate life. Sure it is great to see family and friends but it is also disruptive.

Looking forward to a trip to San Diego the last few days of November and the first few of Dec. Going to the Marine Corp graduation to celebrate my finishing basic training.

Saturday I was helping my neighbor treat his calves. One of the calves got a little wild and my leg was injured. Went to the doctor this morning after hobbling around the last day and a half. Exrays showed a fracture of the fibia. It isn't severe and will heal without treatment of any kind but it will likely be sore a while.

The trip to kentucky was successful. we installed our 3 units and the camp now has a cool gymnasium and a warmed swimming pool. It took us 3 days longer than we had hoped and we worked long hours every day of the trip.
We returned on Tuesday,,, took the rest of tuesday off and since then we have found ourselves under pressure to get equipment ready for the next job. It is much closer to home but the system will have an additional level of complexity. We will also be working with another contractor, to train them in how to put in our systems.

that I can't get the trip to Kentucky off my work schedule. For over a month my crew has been ready to go to kentucky to install equipment. Every week they tell us that we may go in a couple days or first of the next week. It just hangs out there making it impossible to make any plans for other work projects or even plans in my personal life.

The deal is that we have been having some difficulty obtaining parts from a supplier and because of a stupid agreement with them we are prevented from going anywhere else with our business. Then compounding that issue is the companies cash flow. They used funds that were set aside for the trip to pay a bank note and now have to arrange other funding.

Not really sure how much longer I should work for these people,,, they are driving me nuts.
