2 cups Coconut Oil
3/4 cup Water
1 ounce KGB
Bake the KGB at 275° for about minutes.
I use a parchment paper covered cookie sheet.
Put the Coconut Oil in a slow cooker, Crock-Pot, on medium until it's fully melted, stirring very often.
Add about 3/4 cup water to the melted Coconut Oil.
The water helps prevent scorching the oil.
Scorched oil tastes terrible which will effect the taste of the finished product.
Grind the baked KGB in a grinder.
Best not to use a coffee grinder or blender as this pulverizes the KGB and makes it more difficult to remove the bitter plant material when it's ready to strain.
Add the ground up KGB to the Coconut Oil and Water.
Cover.
Slow cook on low to medium for about 4-6 hours, 8 hours if you can.
I, personally, keep mine on for hours.
Stir frequently to prevent scorching.
Do not boil.
Strain the mixture through cheesecloth.
Do not squeeze too much as it can cause a bitter taste.
Pour mixture into a clean container, I use a glass Mason jar.
Refrigerate to prevent the oil turning rancid.
Finished product will have a slight nut flavor and will be a nice light shade of greenish brown in color.
Oil can be used as a personal lubrication.
Some people cook with it.
Do so at your own discretion.
