The bars have to close early. Thanksgiving Eve is one of the busiest nights of the year for bars in Pa. Yes, more so than New Years Eve. This Thanksgiving the powers that be on the state level have said they have to stop serving and close early. Normal closing time in the state for bars is two am. Clubs, the closing time is four am. The new time for last call? Ten pm. I understand the rationale. But come Ten pm. tonight there will be some sore bar flies in Pa. Not to mention the cash the bar and club owners will lose. But hey, we're at the crest of the second wave of this thing. Local hospitals are filling up...record numbers of positive tests daily, breaking the previous days records. If all it takes is for us to curtail this bug from hell is some loss to our drinking time then I don't see what the problem is. As it is I'm not a big bar patron. Last time I was even in one was five years ago when the place close to the house was demoed for a new strip mall to be built in it's place. You want to drink...stay home and do so. It's safer, no driving, and your close to your bed when you've reached your limit and want to crash. Not to mention that you won't be exposed or expose others to anything by partying at home. biggest win...No mask to wear. Unless you and the SO, spouse, or good friend your parting with are planning on getting kinky. Okay P.S.A. done..back to your regular scheduled day....

I heard that Thanksgiving is a big bar night too but I don't get it. Aren't most people at home in a food coma, or exhausted after shopping and cooking for days? I won't be missing the bars tomorrow.

Oklahoma is shutting down bars and inside dining at restaurants at 11pm each night. I'm not doing either activity. I do feel for the staff at those places.
