Kattoy 38 was the only one I have actually met from NoStrings. I knew her for about two years. she quickly became a good friend. Unfortunately, she was killed in a single car accident just before easter this spring.
our friendship consisted of long conversations over coffee or a meal at the truckstop in Rocker Montana whenever I could make it thru, and hours of yahoo messaging while I was out trucking. It was a wonderful thing to log on and see her IM icon lit up. She could really brighten a day. She was so witty and a cook too!
We worried her home from a third trip as a marine to Iraq. Our last IM conversation was her telling me that he was back home safe and would be discharging soon and that she looked forward to seeing him and his new baby and wife. Then, the news of her death. It was a needless loss, she always drove fast and laughed when warned about it. Finally a fatal mix of speed (70mph) and ice took my friend.
