Female Privelege Feminists want equal treatment for everyone. So let’s look at a world where you - a girl - are treated the same as a man: - No more doors opened for you. Get your own door. - Bosses don’t cut you slack in the workplace. Either do the job right, or you’re fired. - Police don’t let you get out of speeding tickets. If you’re doing 42 in a 40 zone, you’re busted. - Car breakdowns are a genuine ordeal and standing on the side of the road won’t do anything but get you dirty. - No recognition for anything you do that is cute, feminine, or beautiful. You’d be held to a higher standard, and cute just doesn’t cut it in a man’s world. Your Tumblr account wouldn’t have half as many followers, no one would care about your new dress, and no one would understand why you want to talk about shoes. - Much less forgiveness for mistakes. You can’t just twirl your hair and say, “oopsie.” - You have to ask for dates - and pay for them. - No guidance from anyone. You’d be equal so you’re on your own. No guidance, no advice, no help. Doesn’t sound very pleasant does it? Yet this is the world feminists want to create for you. They claim you want this, but that you just don’t know you want it. This is why you, as a girl, need to tell the world: “I don’t need Feminism because I like female privilege!” |
