Chat Etiquette and I don't stand out of a crowd

Years ago I visited this site for the fun of chatting and hope to find a FWB for the free time I had been granted. Now again, granted a few weeks of down time and have returned to find that the Men out number the women 10 to one, they must be awful a chatting, and have ruined the women for those of us that don't stand out from a crowd.

I discovered this because I pissed off a chatter when I answered what I was doing on this site and what I wanted. My intentions were honest, and so were hers. But the result was that I lost someone to chat with.

So I wonder if we have lost the art of conversation. Sitting across from one another, via computer or in person, and paying attention to the other person in the conversation.

I guess being completely honest, or letting my new found chatting friends discover that I'm here for selfish reasons, would not be the best policy.

So I ask, "Ladies, how do you wish for a chatting conversation to go"?

Are there specific rules you would like to see followed in a conversation on this site?

 Funny, thanks for the feedback. But when the wimmin out number the men, then things would change.
