Ban SOME guns (i.e. automatic, Military style weapons ). Such weapons are only meant for war. NO ONE needs to own those weapons! If one wants to try them out, or use them, then go to a gun club or other place where it's safe to do so. I have no problem with people owning guns - rifles, shotguns, pistols, as long as they qualify to have them. EVERYONE should go through a background check. As long as the person hasn't been found guilty of ANY felony act, nor had any domestic violent issues, then they should qualify for a license.

This is a hot topic. Many views about this. Mine is only one, I'm sure. I live in Massachusetts, USA, one of the most strict, on gun licensing laws, and I agree with most of what the states laws are on this.

Being curious and asking questions is a good thing!

the founding fathers after going through the revolution, and being students of history, knew that the people, common citizens, might someday need to revolt from the very government they were working to form.in their wisdom, the 2nd amendment was born.many will argue that it applies to a well regulated militia, but those militias back then were merely citizens that grouped together.if i can truly call myself free, give me the ability to protect me and mine..i will not abuse this right..unfortunately not everyone holds to this standard. let all the sheep who want uncle sam to protect them from the big bad world give theirs up,they wont have the needed balls to use them if and when the time comes.

There are enough gun laws in place already. What we need to do as a society is to not sensationalize gun violent crimes, and when and if caught and covicted of a shooting crime, sentence the person to life of HARD LABOR!
If a gun criminal is given a death penalty, they usually don't suffer much. But a life of turnin' BIG rocks, into little rocks with a sledgehammer...for the rest of your life, 7-days a week...now that is torture!

It's not the guns that kill ...it's the bullets

Keep guns, ban bullets

Switzerland, you know, nearly every male citizen between the ages of 18 and 52 are required by law to have in their home at all times a military fully automatic rifle. Paid for by the government. As a part of his military obligation, now there is extensive testing to determine who would serve and who gets excused (and not armed) Don't ban the tool but test and train everyone for there fitness to exercise their right to defend themselves.

Not the Whole Truth but the truth that I can see.
