All For One

It's time we band together for our fellow American in South Texas. I've donated a day's pay to the Red Cross and I challenge you to do the same.

I'll keep my fingers crossed this one too won't end up as a government cluster fuck. But crooked politicians get rich over this type of shit. What, never let a good crisess go to waste. Good one Roam! You worthless piece of shit. How about you fit the trouble in your own back yard?

Anyway, help if you can, It might be you someday.

When a disaster strikes a certain area, I always donate to the Lions Club(s) in that area because 100% of what I donate goes directly to the people affected in that area. You can also donate to your local Lions Club, and they will see to it 100% of your donation goes to the Lions Club(s) in that area affected and will be distributed to those in need. Unlike many charities, the Lions Club administrative costs are paid by club members dues. All money donated goes back to the community.

well thank you.. its nice when people band together to help... i am just on east outskirt of houston, where i live isnt going to flood as san jacinto river is less than a mile an is about 30 foot lower so crosby has great drainage... i have gotten over 36 inches of rain so far at my home... but power has stayed onn... but so many in houston area arent as lucky... looking at the pictures on news is even surprising to me some of the areas that have 10-15 feet of water flowing thru it... most all of the major freeways are closed at some point... But thanks to all the people who reach out to others that were hit hard by this hurricane. steve

I'm sorry if I came across as implying that... The Red Cross is a great organization, but they have a protocol they have to abide by. All charities and service clubs help out in times like this. I mentioned the Lions Club because they are the largest service club in the world, and there is no bureaucracy to deal with. The local Lions Club members live in the communities, they know who needs the money/needed supllies, and will hand it out right away without delay. Most Lion's Clubs throughout the world are already receiving donations, and sending the money/needed supplies to the Lions Clubs in the affected areas. Many people are unaware of what all the Lions Club does because they go about this without advertising their actions.
