 When you say "met someone on NoStrings" did you mean you actually had a face-to-face with them? Or was that just your way of describing a purely online interaction (I nearly said "intercourse".. sigh)?
In any case, I agree, disconnect a bit and move right along, there are 20 men on NoStrings for every woman, 'though I believe a very large proportion of them are married/attached.

 Could be reasons for the constant back tracking, may well be attached or more likely just a time waster perhaps, move on there are plenty of other guys on here who im sure will take up any offer.
