I like Michael, he's usually fairly accurate. Today, though.... Egads. I could have forecasted that. LOL

Where I live, you can experience all 4 seasons in the span of 24 hours. LOL

I did do the layers. Unfortunately, I didn't bring the umbrella.

It was definitely not sunny and warm... But I did get to see my Work BFF today when he was in shopping. I miss him soooo much but he really likes his new job. It was good to see him!

Oh, we definitely didn't need the AC. It did get up to 59, but we got a hell of a rain and lightening storm too.

It is currently 75 degrees in GR as the locals call it or its map name of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I had been outside doing yard work in shorts and a long sleeve shirt and then detailing the car as I am going to sell it and just keep my 4 X 4 for now unless a great deal is found on a older muscle car.

Our local forcast on the news was really close to what it is today so I guess maybe our weather guy and yours did not go to the same school ??

I agree with others that dressing in layers works best for me also.

The last few nights I had been going for walks at local parks and layering really helped me stay comfy through the temp changes as it got dark.

Hopefully your next forecast is more accurate.

This time of year, not uncommon for early morning or late evening to be 40's and midday to be upper 70s...so the key then is LAYERS. Short sleeve top, cardigan sweater, light jacket if gonna be outside more than just from car to office. I pretty much always wear jeans to work. So there is my advice. JS

How I dress has been a real challenge for me since I've been spending half my time in Missouri. I have to pack for a couple of different seasons every month.
But for daily use ... I step outside and see for myself.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

I remember listening to the main PR man for Environment Canada saying that if the forecasters are correct 40% of the time, they are happy!

That range probably means that there is a front in the area for which he is forecasting.

Yesterday the high in NE Iowa was about 66F and the high in SW Iowa was 90F. It was cloudy here in NE Iowa and the high 90 miles to the southwest was in the 80's. The 90's high is closer to probably 300 miles away.

So if you were to have a front split the forecast area, it might be a correct forecast.

When the weather man says...

It can be anywhere from the mid 40's to the mid 70's today.

Really?

Um.... Is that a scientific guess there, Michael Stevens?

I feel like someone who has spent that many years in meteorological school could kind of narrow that down *just a little*. I do realize everything you forecast is basically a meteorological guess based on a weather pattern you are seeing on a screen...

But 40 - 70 degrees??

I can't wait to see what the actual temp gets to today.

I'll keep you posted.... Happy Tuesday!
