Yes. I am really 50. "You good for 50!" Most common pick up line I hear around here. But the best part of being 50 is not car in what people think of your appearance. My ass has been around for 50 years. So has my heart. It has sung with joy, swelled with pride, and been devastatingly shattered. My brain has been around too. I've learned a lot. More than I want to know. street smart enough to know that a pic of my ass is going to catch some attention. wise enough to know that much more than my body, and the men who can talk about something, anything, other than my ass are the ones worth having a conversation with. |

Also worthy of note is that *genetics* have been debunked as the most important factor in our health and fitness. Behavior and environment are now understood to be more critical components. In short, Nurture triumphs over Nature. As you point out, engaging Life and sustaining mindful connections is our *elixir of youth*. I am also with you on growing indifferent to how others perceive us. It is truly one of the rewards of maturation.

I do like your style and enjoy that you don't mind your age. I always believe I look pretty good for my age but then test it out with my sons with an older person nearby. They never let me down and say...shit Dad he's got to be your age??!?! Oh youth can be cruel. In signing off I should tell you that I do like a good bum on a Woman. I can only imagine what it must be like for women with great bodies everywhere to simply have a serious conversation with some guy without him hitting on her. It probably sucks. So ladies, for that, I apologize... However, on a website like this, I wouldn't expect anything else. Especially when its not free to read everyone's profile page and all you know is, the profile pic your looking at is a very sexy photo with X rated images in it. Now, because I don't have access to this persons profile, I dont have any information about this person other than she doesn't seem to be shy when choosing a picture for her profile. Now I do not condone any type of sexual harassment towards women on any level. But I'd say, having someone compliment you on how great your ass looks at 50+ yrs old isn't that bad... BUT SERIOUSLY FELLAS... WOMEN SHOULD BE CHERISHED AND TREATED WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT. I MEAN SERIOUSLY, EVERY WOMAN IS SOMEONE'S DAUGHTER, WIFE, SISTER, AUNT, AND/OR MOTHER. SO MAKE SURE YOU TREAT THEM AS SUCH.

I get the same comments, mostly dudes will come up to me and say "I hope I look like you when I get your age". I'm like why you don't you try looking me now? You do look good, I keep saying 50s are the new 30s because young kids look like hell nowadays, must be all the soy they're eating.

... shouldn't even be a question.... we all age because the alternative is not good... how we age however is much more important... attitude, curiosity, attention to health, being able to explore life with and without others, learning new things, taking joy in your successes and those of others, learning from you mistakes.... all part of what makes us each unique... ...so, without needing it to be said, you derriere is simply fine... but I suspect what makes you a much more interesting individual is your mind, your interests and your curiosities... hope you are finding those either here or elsewhere that are keeping those things firing on all cylinders... one last thing.... thanks for blogging.... the profiles of those that don't blog at least infrequently just somehow seem a bit sterile.... jmvho...
