 Don't have a rule - been open to meeting after a chat. Probably a guy thing, no one has been so interested to arrange something with 1-2 exceptions (met once and that was very unexpected). I totally support being safe and don't understand the flaky or deceptions - clueless I guess). Be well, thrive on.

 I am not on here everyday and most of the contacts do not live near me- so I have chosen to play my time limit by ear so far. You have a good rule and if it works so far for you- use it. Stay Safe

 The rule isn't to stop from meeting. It's more to stop the people who live nearby and want to chat endlessly with no intention on meeting. Thanks for your insight though. I appreciate feedback.

 Hi this is what I read online article and I don't know how big a sample the research was, but the results were that if you don't physically meet someone from online initial message to face to face before 21 or so days the date will not result in another one. I have to agree that a 2 week time frame is about right to get through all the trust and break the ice to meet. Dragging out messages is just lame and people being fake about their intentions or interest or flakes anyways.

I've found that to be true. I had someone that I text with daily, several times, for almost 2 months. The day we were supposed to meet was probably the only day in the 2 months that I DIDN'T hear from him.
