Atlanta

It's traveling time again. I'll be in beautiful downtown Atlanta from May 1st to the 5th doing a trade show.

Most of my free time will be either early or late on Monday the 2nd. On Wednesday the 4th there's a party at someplace called the Biergarten (sorry, I can't spell in English much less German) not too far from the Omni, if you want to get a couple of drinks and try to talk.

With any luck this will be my last trip to Atlanta. It's nice enough as cities go but I've done too many trade shows there over the last 30 years and it's no longer 'new and exciting', maybe you could change my outlook, lol.

On a brighter note, I've given my 62 week notice. I'm going to retire June 30, 2017. I think I have a part-time job lined up working the desk at the gym. It'll give me a reason to get dressed in the morning and a free membership.

So, now it's time to investigate warm places to retire to, the winter cold is starting to annoy me. The first thought is Henderson, NV outside of Las Vegas because we have friends there. The second thought is southwest Florida but I've never been there so it will require some research. Any suggestions on someplace warm and reasonably priced?

I'd really like to try Key West or an island like Aruba but I don't think I could make the finances work and a part-time job would be hard to find.

That is a seriously scary looking "hill" and on a skateboard- must have suicidal tendency!
Have you made any forays to New Mexico?? It is fascinating and you surely could find a part-time job as a chase crew for a hot air balloon owner; Santa Fe is gorgeous but too $$$-good for a 3-4 days visit if you stay on Cerillos Rd at Super8

I've tried the west but with the future-X so I'm not sure I can trust my reactions. I should research New Mexico and Arizona. We have friends in suburban Las Vegas so that's a possibility too.
