Busy week

This has been a very busy week. My from my current marriage was in this weekend, he split his time between me and the future-X. He even slept over here on Saturday night, testing my guest room. The future-X picked him up at the airport Saturday morning and I dropped him off there on Sunday night after we had dinner with my mother.

Then Wednesday I learned that my second from my first marriage made me a Grandfather on Saturday. We are estranged (I think that's the right term), we've only spoken a couple times in the last thirty-some years. I called him Wednesday evening to congratulate him and he was reasonable. I think this is a good time and a good opportunity for me to try to patch things up. It's my fault or at least it's not his, the first wife and I fought like crazy and he and his brother and sister were collateral damage. So I will make an effort and see how receptive he is. He and his girlfriend are going to bring the baby over to my mother's when he's allowed to travel and I am going to make sure I'm there and on my best behavior.

The hockey playoffs start tonight for the Flyers. Yes, I'm in the Philadelphia area and a big Flyers fan. Damn, they just lost the first game...

I'm going to get some sleep now and hope things slow down and smooth out. I'll try to keep you posted as it plays out.

Good to hear that you had time with your some. but MOST important that you are planning on patching things up with your other son. You should do that. is not his fault. besides. everyone is an adult now. act like one. and also act as a father. is never too late to build relationships. wish you the best time with them when visiting.
