AFF: Absolutely Full of Fakes So having been stood up twice in three days, there is a certain amount of venting to follow. Many years ago, I joined NoStrings as a basic member and this was good. There were enough services available that I could chat with friends I'd made online here and occasionally meet. The constraints on basic members grew until there was very little a guy could access with any regularity. I later learned that women on basic had much more freedom to read email and access other services. I learned this when a "female" who was actually a male, shared that he joined as a female so he could get more free services. You can actually find guys with female profiles where they state in the first line of their profile that they are guys. So I decided that I wanted to try out the gold level membership for the expanded access and to potentially see the benefits that were 'promised' in the advertisements. About that time, I read somewhere that NoStrings had been hacked like the Madison site and that much member data had been placed in jeopardy. I never saw anything about this mentioned on NoStrings, so I wondered if there was a privacy violation of some sort there. So I used a gift card to make the payments at the much inflated rate...yes, I am that horny. After gaining better access which was definitely available through gold, I very quickly discovered the "bots" that have been reported as a big problem here. Numerous chat requests from women who thought I was fascinating, wanted to invite me to a 'party', or wondered if I was interested in BDSM and could I become their sex slave. While I may be more interesting than what I have placed in my feeble profile here, I am 61 years old, overweight, and these women were obviously not real women reading my profile and looking for a playmate. For the past week, I have been playing solo on the site in hopes of making a connection with a woman who would like to kiss deeply and engage in a lot of sensuous foreplay. I have had a few wonderfully erotic discussions, but when it came to actually making meeting arrangements, I noticed patterns also forming here. 'Donations' were expected or required, in some cases, the women actually said up from that they only play for pay and gave prices. A couple women actually have this posted in their profiles either blatantly prostituting themselves or asking for men to be generous and become their 'sugar daddies'. Take care of me and I'll take care of you, etc... Two women with recent photos in nice places stated they were 'homeless' and needed to be picked up from some terrible place. Ironically, both of these women also wanted me to pick up liquor and non-essential things before rescuing them. One of these homeless women, said she was at a bus stop. When I asked for her cell number to text her when I was close, she said she had no service. Really, online at a bus stop chatting that she had no service. I guess VIA must be equipping bus stops with laptop kiosks now? The screeners for NoStrings need to actually do their jobs and work on eliminating the programmed accounts and reducing the growing number of women (or men) who are using NoStrings to either make money or to tantalize members to check out their sites on other accounts. The NoStrings experience is no longer one that resembles the sensual playful experience that I recall from my first days here. There is now a 'meanness' and programmatic commercialization of the emotions and sensuality of people that resembles the bleak and dark futuristic movies that show humanity as a failed species. When my current gold status expires, if I should visit this site after that time, it will be only to try and chat with the few remaining real people I know of on here. Using my one of only three chats currently allotted to me as a free basic member. Who knows by the end of the month it may be down to only one free chat, no email or viewing of anything else. |

Hello Honest man, i had the same experience and choose the same way already as you. This site needs a general deep improvement. It is pity!!

Not sure I want to upgrade to gold for that very reason. I think if everyone allowed access to IM and messaging to standard memebers, there would be more success.
