to nelson skalbania, the owner of the wha indianapolis racers.

when the oilers peter pocklington ("peter puck") bought his contract,

he again signed him for "personal services", for 21 years!,

to protect from losing him in the event of the nhl merger,

which of course, did happen.
"well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"
