Clocks are artificially. The only real way to tell time is by the sun. So dawn, noon, dusk, day, equinox, solstice and year (two equinox and two solstices). The moon is not quite accurate. The train system required synchronization. If you get up at dawn and go to be at dusk, there is no extra hour (because we lost it in March). Or get up at dusk and bed at dawn (approximately Joy's schedule).

I stopped changing my watch and clocks several years ago.....I simply pay attention to what time it is, and know that my watch and clocks are off by an hour 6 months of the year..... It was a pain in the ass turning back all the clocks in the house and the vehicles, so I decided to not do it....actually, quite a few people don't change their clocks.

So we "fall back" and gain an extra hour...

...yet for me work schedule changed and I have to go in an hour earlier...

...so much for the extra hour

Even though we get an extra hour of sleep..it stills screws me up. Oh Well, just for a day or so.

An hour of more joy in my life? Even if it is here? Priceless...

I don't consider this an extra hour. It's just the restoration of the hour that was taken away back in the spring.

I wish we could just stay on DST year-round. So what if it's dark at 8 am? People can use their headlights to get to work, and maybe come home with a little bit of daylight remaining.

I truly wish we stayed on DST. Not only is it a pain in the clock but we really dont get anything out of it. And changing the car- well just forget it. Time will tell
