Thoughts About Baring Assets. A Poem

I understand the allure.
It's to feel wanted.
Attractive to the opposite sex.
Show them all
Of your assets.
But could it be better
To leave something
To their imaginations?

I think you make
Yourself one-dimensional
A sex object only
Can you afford
The rest of you
Being ignored?

I am hesitant
To bare it all
For strangers.
Is this a hang up?
Or is my being reserved
A good alternative?
Not to say I
Would never venture
To a nude beach.
But at such a place
Everyone is on the same
Level playing field.
Everyone's an exhibitionist.
And there it's not
Just about being a sex object
It's about cavorting
With nature.

There is the idea
That if you have it
Flaunt it.
I suppose I can't fault
That prevalent attitude.
But it still goes back to
What do you want
Others to think of you?
If they like your exterior
Will your interior
Receive it's due?

I just realized
I spoke an NoStrings taboo
Someone's feelings
And thoughts
Could be considered drama
Or having strings attached
And we all know
That most folks
Do not want
Any of that.

So with all due respect
I leave you to your own opinion.
Ouch! I think there is
Another touchy NoStrings subject
Aretha Franklin might have
Something to say about it
In fact I'm sure
She would spell it out
And she was only asking
For a little bit.
Would that we all
Give and receive it.

 You are, your only judge and jury. My 'naked stuff', is private for those friends interested, but I have 'open house weekends', from time to time, and it is a thrill.. Do what makes u feel comfortable. If someone judges you because of it - then they weren't meant for you anyway... Sure... I'd love to see you naked and I won't judge you at all. Then again-perhaps I'm shallow. Who gives a shit?

As for the subject, while topless is pretty common here,
in certain beaches and bars,
Nudism is something that never really caught up
