Although I am as skeptical- if not outright cynical- about NoStrings management's intentions (as previous comments have well-articulated) I am also mindful that they are collecting an amazing trove of data regarding their community. One area of interest would be each member's profile viewing history, which- far more than what is promulgated in his/her profile- provides deeper insight into individual sexual curiosities and preferences. Applying my fondness for *conspiracy theories*, I wonder if this allegedly *straight* woman is more *straight-acting* and NoStrings- picking up on this notion through her viewing bread-crumbs- thought you might be a force of self-actualization in this woman's life.

It's a highly sophisticated, complex algorithm that says fuck it and matches anyone with anyone. I once got a match with a 20 year old straight guy from Capetown. His profile started out "If you are American, go to h..." LOL That convinced me that NoStrings has it's head so far up it's ass, it appears to be back on it's shoulders.

The matching algorithm is obviously not that great. But they make money so I doubt they care.

I've read that NoStrings doesn't really make much money; it's mostly carried by their other brands. Hard to say whether that's true. But it's obvious that they don't put a lot into updating the site; it looks the same now as it did when I first signed up, except for the differences between the Gold view and the Standard view. (I didn't sign up for Gold until an ex proposed finding a threesome partner -- then got angry when I actually did that, but that's another story. I renewed only because of a really cheap sale price.) Anyway, it's possible that the site presents you with profiles of straight women (who wouldn't be interested in you), and presents me with strictly lesbian women (who wouldn't be interested in me), on the assumption that even if they're not going to be a match, we might want to look at the non-matching profiles as fantasy fodder, or porn if they have arousing pictures or videos.
