If you'd said to him "Why don't you read my profile you ugly fucker" that might be misconstrued as arrogant But you were calm and polite which is more than can be said for him and more than he deserved!

I bet he's really proud of the "I put the F U in FUN", but it doesn't really work does it... maybe he doesn't realize that "Fuck you" is an abusive phrase. Maybe it's stereotypical Scots (are we allowed to do that now, or is it too soon?) but I believe the correct response is "No, fuck you, Jimmy!"
