Friendship & Honesty

I feel so blessed that I surround myself with good people that are able to share and be honest with each other. About a week ago I had a really tough discussion with someone very dear to me that took both discretion, honesty, feelings, sadness, reality, etc. and we were able to carry on the discussion together at a deeper level today. We were able to listen to each other, reflect and act with such respect for the other individual. Many times in relationships this isn't easy and causes such discourse in the relationship.

When two people can stay true themselves, yet show such regard for another human it's very touching and shows that they both have the true meaning of friendship. When two people are new to a friendship, it's even scarier than when someone has been friends for a long time. We have no idea how that person looks at us, views us, values us, etc.

Do you have friendships where this is possible? Do you have friendships where this is not possible? Can you be honest with the person you are sharing your bed with? Are you hiding behind walls and being disrespectful and untruthful?

Please think beyond yourself and think of the people you share your life with.

I know I can sleep a little easier tonight.

 First off you are an amazing person and anyone that is able to call you a friend is truly blessed. Sounds like the type of conversation you had was one of those exposed nerve ones. Where it could have really hurt and was raw but sounds like it worked out for the best and it grew stronger because of it Very happy for you Hope you had a peaceful restful night and maybe even had a naughty dream or two lol

 My friends come and go there are three That I have known since second grade two were my roommates in college and one a lover for five years they moved away and did grown up stuff I only see them now and then .
