Thanks! Does anyone know how to do that on Linux (i.e., Linux Mint)?

I wanted to let you know that not only does this happen when you use Google search but also Google email. I notice upon purchasing items on line and I receive confirmation on my order then. I notice Advertising from that company follow me on line? No matter what website I was on it does not matter where or what time of day or if the products sold in that company have anything to do with the website I was on these Ads continued to be there. Really freaking creepy and annoying. I am sure this is with anything Google, Yahoo etc. They track your searches, purchases, contacts everything nothing is private anymore not on Google. Btw I also noticed when I used my camera phone took a picture next thing I notice my photos showed up on Google Images without me actually posting them on line myself. Why does Google think they have the right to make these choices for us? Don't we have our own mind to decide what we want to post on line? So glad I still have my old camera. Hope more people come to realize with all this stuff on our phones everything together and with social media it is the beginning to loosing our choices.

To love is to risk not being loved in return

Wow, "MeLike"! I keep thinking the internet can't get any creepier/invasive, and then I hear something like your experience with taking the photo. .............. I've been noticing ads following me around the internet, too. A few weeks ago I did a search on Bing (hoping Bing might be better than Google or Yahoo), and a day or two later an ad appeared on YouTube (now owned by Google, of course) related to the search I'd done. Now, weeks later, I'm still being harassed by ads for that product. When I go to Webster's online dictionary, they appear there. ............. That search I did wasn't even something I was interested in. I was just checking the spelling of something. ............. It's scary to see what people are willing to put up with. It seems like people used to be concerned about their privacy. ............ I miss the internet of the '90s. There was plenty of sleazy stuff but not on such a colossal scale. Corporations hadn't taken over the internet yet. As far as I'm concerned, the golden age of the internet is far behind us.
