Waterfall
Waterfall "Let us probe the silent places, let us seek what luck betide us; Let us journey to a lonely land I know. There's a whisper on the night-wind, there's a star agleam to guide us, And the Wild is calling, calling...let us go." -Robert Service |

Thank you for sharing your breathtaking photography, SP72. I had a friend whose life ambition was to be the first to climb Niagara Falls when it was frozen. Sadly he died in a cave-diving accident in 1985 having never achieved his dream. To my knowledge that title remains unclaimed to this day. My featured post this week: Pulling Fantasy Sex Out of My Ass.

It's not much fun in winter. We went the first time just weeks before everything opened. I was fascinated with the fact they built the walkway out to the hurricane experience yearly... I wanted to see them building it. They have barricades up and it was almost torture not to go to the viewing areas I wished to!! You do get to ride that trolley for free though when it is winter.. So that was a plus.

The first time we went we didn't even stay.. The second time we went, we stayed one night at the best room I could find ---- with my discount. I believe I got a room that was several hundred dollars for the bargain of $200 in Canadian. The room was the closest to and over looked the falls ---- with a whirlpool, private deck. I have such memories of it waking me up, tapping on the glass.. It wasn't raining -- it was the mist of the falls... it was so cool!! And I'm glad it woke me up --- what a sunrise to!!!
