"Whether we believe or not"!

"Whether we believe or not"! People say, religion and politics are topics we should never talk about. People had strong opinions about these topic and usually get touchy about them. Speaking about religion, if someone asks about God, and asked if you believe. If they say "No". I understand. There was a time in my life, I felt he wasn't there! I heard people say, if he's out there why would he allow bad things to happen. With all the bad things going on in the world, why don't he intervene? Why is there such thing as cancer? Why do some people suffer while others don't. Don't he suppose to be a loving God? These are legitimate questions. My dad was a good man, it hurt me when God took him. I had an uncle who wasn't a good man. He lived to be in his mid 90s. Is that fair? He love us all right? So doe's he exist? If not, what about the bible? is this just a book that someone came up with? All the miraculous things that happen, did it really happen? So if God don't exist, what about Jesus? Why would someone write a book of lies, if the bible not real? There was many times, when I lost my belief. We all do when things go bad, well most of us. There was a time, when things was bad, I asked? Why am I'm here?. I said, God, I need a miracle, to know that you are there and you do care. Believe it or not, things gradually got better. I was reminded when I was 7, I was hit by car. I died and was brought back to life. I seen a spirit of a deceased person. I been fortunate in life, things always work itself out. I'm lucky to still be here. So in my opinion , I believe! But, this is my opinion. I got to have faith, without it, I have no hope! No hope, I feel I won't exist. We all have our reason to believe or not to believe. This is my reason to believe. Everyone entitle to their own opinion. We are individuals. Some believers stop believing and some non-believer start believer. A lot of it depends what going on in someone's life. The situation about my uncle, before he died, he did a 180 degree, and became a good, caring person. Maybe my dad was taken when he did, maybe he did his good deed? I don't know. But in my opinion, what going to happen in life in going to happen. We do have some control. But, this is just my opinion, what's going to happen, is going to happen. "Whether we believe or not"!           |

Well said. I think such discussions CAN be an enriching exchange of ideas and experiences. And your blog is a perfect example.  Unfortunately, many tend to imagine insult where none exists and usually take disagreement personally. Rather than share their own perspective, they will attack those that challenge their beliefs. They fail to recognize the value of mutual respect. Without mutual respect, such dialog devolves into conflict which benefits no one.

A lot of people even if they believe don't talk about these topics. I have no clue why maybe because other don't believe?? I agree with your last statement.. What is meant to be will be. hugsssssss V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm
