Xmas spirit
As some of you know [which also means that some of you don't know, but now you do..... well, not quite yet] I am a sports official in my spare time [and now you all know] and with the Xmas season upon us, you read and hear a lot of people calling for and practicing things that really should be a year round thing - good manners and kindness to others.



Apparently many never read the fine print that includes sporting events in on that little bit of joy.



So to do my part, as I officiate during the next few weeks, I will reply to all abuse thrown my way by replying to them with



Because I'm an ass, and a smart ass, so if they open the door, the least I can do is to warmly welcome them

 You are not an ass, a smart ass, yes, never an ass!! I so enjoy your humor.

It seems this season brings out the "not so nice" qualities in people, always in a rush. People are in too much of a hurry all the time, especially this time of year. Slow down and enjoy the truly important part of the holiday season!!
