I wear every day.



It's a little worn but it reads Be the Change

And this side of it is still legible.



Sometimes our actions speak louder than words



and on the rare occasions someone challenges me on it, I back it up with words.



I'm straight and I have friends who are gay. I don't "label" them as "my gay friends", they're "my friends" and we respect each other's sexual orientation. Wearing the bracelet every day is part of the way I fight against the fear that some have concerning people in the LGBT community. So when people call me gay for wearing it, I tell them, yes, I am very happy to wear it.



Then when they try to tell me that's not what they meant, then I can turn on
the
