I have 6 years to retire. I will have to find something part time to keep me busy along with all the things I want to do. I plan but you know how life likes to throw you curve balls....so its all tentative except the retiring that's a done deal...

I am retired Pal and so busy with my volunteer work that I am working more then 60 hours a week, my own fault because I am working on veterans claims. When they do get their money and entitlement it is most rewarding for me. Most can't fill out the form And why I help them. Our government will not do a thing for them. July found some good ones for retirement. Hugs V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

Since I moved home I'm joining the Senior Center, they have some great activities, line dancing, yoga, bridge, bingo, tai chi..I can't wait to enjoy some of these activities. The line dancing and bingo..I'm so there..and it's only $5 a year so $10 for the both of us, they even have a pool room I'm sure my hubby will be in there..lol.. Retirement can be fun and at first it's like you don't know what to do with yourself, but you have your god sons which keep you very busy. I hope your having a great weekend..

Me, not exactly ready for this journey's chapter. Will be taking notes though.

Retirement is not all fun and games, Pal. For one, there's no 'sick' days and no days off.....

My biggest problem with being retired is the one I dreaded most. Since I am so notoriously lazy, I feared that I would be even lazier once there was no routine of going to work Monday to Friday. That proved true. I am loving every minute of being retired - but have to work extra hard to get some meaningful routine back into my life, and to create a healthy balance between fun and other stuff. Right now, all my time is spent doing the fun stuff. Check out my profile or and become a "watcher" of my blog FMAOPLS,to learn more about me, and for intelligent, lively, smartassy and fun discussion, with a little irreverence thrown in. "Like" or comment on my photos, and I promise I'll add more. Thanks.

I can't wait to retire from work. Though a lack of schedule is very appealing, I think I will do some unpaid voluntary work wen I retire.
