I like Spring as a relief from the cold of Winter and I like Autumn as relief from the heat of Summer. Now, if I could live at the beach ........ It's been unseasonably warm here in the Detroit area so I'm good right now. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

My favourite season is Spring, probably because it is the first season I experienced after being born. I tend to stay away from beaches as there is skin cancer in my "family" and as Darling_Annette so factually stated, Australia is the skin cancer capital of the world. The bright summer sun glinting off the sand or any other reflective surface for more than 15 minutes can result in severe sunburn. I don't sunbake, ever. There are too many people my age who have been sun-worshippers for twenty or thirty years who look like they're sixty five or seventy. Not a good look; cooked, leathery and wrinkled beyond recognition. [image]

My favourite seasons are Spring and Autumn. I prefer it not to be too cold or too hot. My favourite beaches are in The Gambia - hot weather, a cooling sea breeze, hardly any people and Atlantic rollers to play in. [image]
