New Year 2018
As the midnight hour approaches, and with it a New Year! I have reflected on what for me has been a year of upheaval. After living and working in Hamburg Germany for nearly 17 years, I moved back to my home in the UK in March.
Not only have I moved away from my friends (ex lovers) and colleagues, but also from my favourite local bars and restaurants.
This has made me lethargic, and a little depressed Fortunately I am still reasonably healthy.

My resolution for 2018, is to get out more and start making more friends.

 Change is hard at any age, Dave, but you're an adaptable sort. I think getting out and meeting new people might be just what you need. America should follow that advice as well. We've been spending too much time staying inside admiring ourselves- you know, beating the breast and singing our own praises. Pretty soon none will invite us to parties anymore. They'll be avoiding us at ball games and the grocery store too.
