Jeremy Renner and JLo's Globes

I always assumed that "sexual harassment" was where you said or did something (of a sexual manner) that offended a member of the opposite sex?

Did I not read the memo correctly? Because it seems whenever a man says or does something that shows his admiration for beauty, someone, other than the person being admired, seeks to find it offensive, regardless of the fact that the person being admired appreciated it!

Jennifer Lopez and Jeremy Renner were Golden Globes presenters on Sunday night.

I think Renner was rather quick on his feet in his response to J-Lo asking: "You want me to do it?" in reference to who should announce the winner.
"I have the nails."

"You've got the globes, too," Renner quipped back, referring to her chest.

And some idiot on Twitter, sorry, did I say idiot? Someone tweeted ""Jeremy Renner just sexually harassed J.Lo on live TV!"

So who decides when it's sexual harassment?

Tut,tut!!

There's always an idiot (yes, I said "idiot") that will misinterpret a joke or a friendly gesture and make big deal out of it.

I got reported once because I said hello or gave a hug to all the girls in the locker room except the one girl who actually wanted me.

Once I named all the girls that had been present at the time (who could show that I never said anything to her) she withdrew her accusation.

I think a lot of these folks just take themselves too seriously. Like Renner said, folks just need to lighten up.

Thanks for taking the time and dropping by!

    Quoting AmeliaCox:
It's sexual harassment when it is articulated in a vulgar or purile way.
A compliment is "Those heels make your legs look so long and elegant." Not "How long does it take to shave legs that are that long?"
A compliment about a woman's breasts would be "That dress does wonders for your bustline." I think Renner was crude and disrespectful but that's just me.
Personally, if the other party isn't offended I really don't think it's anybody's business.

Hey, V! Yeah; it kinda makes you have to be leery about admiring or complimenting a beautiful, or beautifully dressed woman when you see her.

But maybe that's the whole point of that exercise.
