"Age" is a number that represents a general state of cellular decay , but to play along, age is only a number, but it depends what is the subject. If you're pertaining "Age" to sex/reproduction? Biologically you could have sex when puberty happens, and for hundreds of thousands of years, "At puberty" is when people got together. But talking legalities; Wasn't until 1885 did the United States raise the "Age of consent" from 13, to 16, and oppressed prostitution in the U.S. . But each state still has their own , "Age of consent".
