 I used to work for one of these people ! The one thing I got from him was the ability to remain patient and not jump at his attempts to bait me. While I'm really a dog person , I acted like a cat around him (aloof, uninterested). It was the best way to handle him and I'm proud to have developed this coping mechanism.

 Haven't read the book. People like this have no concept of "a spirited debate" - I know several. Can't one just agree to disagree and move the fuck on?!

You aren’t the only one. It sold 125,000 copies so not exactly a ‘blockbuster’. The ones that bug me too, think yelling validates their point of view.
