Update: The website of the-closest-thing-we-have-to-a-national-newspaper had a long article on this in the international section. It discussed not only his life, but his death, the article he was in, the magazine it was in, the legislation he was fighting against, who was for it and why, who was against it and why, similar legislation in other countries in the continent, and what various people, including American President Obama, had to say about all this. Among other things.

At least there have been some international ripples. Hopefully this tragedy leads to greater unity for everyone.

PS. Might be worth noting that the Rolling Stone Magazine which David was in, is not the one with the same name available in America.

So ironic that he's been vilified in his own country but accepted far away. I'll have to google the article.

    Quoting  :

I also saw the drama on Nation T.V. yesterday as they reported on his funeral.

As it turns out, his own local community refused to bury the body, so it all fell upon the LGBTI community to bury him.

There must be something fundamentally wrong with a society that treats human beings like that, even those whom it doesn't like.

Shocked and saddened by that news.

Everyone has the right to live their life the way they see fit and as long as it causes no harm to others. Its depressing to see that such despicable acts seem to get swept under the carpet...

    Peace
Yes, it's sad. And people should protest.
