"Just circle yes or no if you like me" !

Remember the good old days when you could just pass the paper "NOTE" do you like me yes or no? Circle 1. Wow has things changed. Why back then I would stay after school and offer to clean the blackboards. The teacher would give me the used chalk. Then my journey would begin. I would get on my bike risking life, limb and grounding to leave my love a message on his sidewalk. I was not allowed to leave my block so I had to cross a two lane road to my work. All the time hoping not to get caught, I would leave my heart shaped "I love you" and take off like the wind. Nobody was the wiser. I was careful. Anyhow I never got my note back I was devastated. We abruptly moved to California. When I returned to Illinois many years later {10} I figured I would call him to ask why he never answered my note? Turned out he did his boyfriend pocketed the note. Well here's how this childhood romance ended we ended up living together for many years and we still talk a few times a week. When he was deployed I stayed up all night written little notes to put in his clothing to surprise him. Little did I know the guys were going to make fun of him? The notes would fall out the most un-opportune time. I guess we know what we want we just don't always know how to achieve it.

 Great Post! I used to LOVE those notes! Ahhhhhhh, the memories.
