This from a cardiology report in a July 29, 2008
issue of the Journal of the American College of
Cardiology.

Most heart attacks occur in the day, generally between 6am and noon. If at night, means something unusual happened, usually
sleep apnea. The FDA has approved a new device you put in your
mouth when you sleep that realigns the 'jaw' to keep the airway
open so you breathe better. Look it up.

If taking an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at
night. Aspirin has a 24-hr 'half-life', so if most heart attacks happen in the wee hours of the morning, the aspirin would be strongest in your system.

Aspirin last a very long time in your medicine chest; in fact
for years DID YOU KNOW it it gets too old, it smells like
VINEGAR??

Nice to KNOW: Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve
instantly on the tongue. They work much faster than tablets.
Aspirin should be kept by your bedside, readily available within
an arms reach. It is all about heart attacks. Be aware of the
symptoms at all times, it's not just a pain in the chest, the
pain may be in left arm, intense pain on the chin, nausea, and
even sweating.

If necessary to take aspirin when you think you might be having a
heart attack, CALL 911, a neighbor or family nearby, merely say "heart attack" and have taken 2 aspirin. Seat yourself in a chair or sofa, near the door and unlock it, and wait for help to
arrive ... DO NOT LIE DOWN!!!

 Good to remember.

Personally my cardiologist says if you
think you might be having a heart attack,
do a little cough now and then till help
comes, kinda jolts the heart to keep it
working possibly.
