My little girl.
My little girl. It's been three months now since we put my little girl to sleep and I still miss her terribly. She was ALWAYS the first to meet me at the door whenever I got home. She always had a kiss for daddy, always. Even at the end, just before she went to sleep, she kissed me. She came into our lives, a tiny little pooch that we 'saved' from the humaine society one Oct morning and our lives where never the same after. I spent almost two whole weeks sleeping on the floor next to her crate because otherwise, she would wine and bark all night. She was a 'little monster' in her younger years, chewing up all sorts of things and generally causing mayhem and terror wherever she went but through it all, she was still daddies little girl. She could ALWAYS bring a smile to my face, always. I miss her terribly..... -tm |

This is SO true! We still have our 'boy' dog Jake and we've both decided that we're going to wait until he's gone before we start looking for another dog. He's kind of 'groovin' on being the only dog right now as we lavish attention and love on him... Boy is HE spoiled rotten -tm

Awww, we lost our dog 3 years ago. You never stop missing them, just as you never stop loving them. Yes, the rainbow bridge exists and all of our loved pets are there waiting for us.

There is a place in our hearts reserved for our pets. They stay there forever even after they cross over Rainbow Bridge. I know your sweetie loved her "Daddy" very much. I am sorry you had to let her go. Hugs She broke your throne, she cut your hair, and from your lips she drew the Halleluljah. -Cohen

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown... My heart goes out to you during your pain ...I lost my beloved friend Maverick a year ago ...and not a day goes by that I don't think of him
