 Okay, so according to B1SportyGuy80, we have to answer ALL the emails or none?? We can't use an 'auto reply' like an answering machine to tell people that we received the message, or for any 'other' reason because you think it means we want NO emails at all??? Hmm.... I wonder, if guys get lots of emails from gay men that they don't want that means they have to turn their profiles off as well???? LOL I am betting that is sooo not gonna happen.

 I prefer not to use the auto-reply. I will answer all emails if the sender is polite or matches what I'm seeking according to my cupid settings...even if there is no spark. The two or three auto-replies I have gotten were not written very well, and maybe that's been the reason for my distaste of them.

I simply prefer the personal touch of a real answer. Besides, I understand that we live in an "instant" world these days, but there is nothing wrong with taking a day or two to look at a sender's profile and pictures and then form an opinion before writing back.

 Yes I use my auto reply and it is always on. I no longer respond to messages or emails from guys I am not interested in so the auto reply takes care of that for me.

 My auto reply is always on. I am not looking for anything other than to blog, so it's a given that if some guy has emailed me wanting to meet he hasn't read my profile.

I did once try to answer all the emails personally but got so sick of the abusive replies I got back, I turned to the auto reply.

My reply is polite, yet to the point.

I am however amazed at how many males have conversations with my auto reply.

WELL SAID! I lost count of the abusive replies that say "this is a f*ck site b*tch!" and that if you are here you MUST be having sex and meeting people as if there is no other reason to be here. I am sure I will be slammed for this post, but it IS true. This site is not an online whorehouse, but so many THINK it is and the abusive replies we get are overwhelming to say the least. The politest email and the politest no thank you can and often does get us slammed back. No one is obligated to screw everyone and anyone that contacts them. NO, not all men do this, but unfortunately the number of men that do this and partake in this type of behavior ruin it for the rest. We never know which one will be the one that is going to be abusive. I am sure that men get some abusive messages as well, but you don't see posts on that as much and I don't deal with messages from women. The site is Xmatch not Adult F*CK Finder and there are so many other reasons to be here many of which are still sexual based.

Yes also, the ads here are not women friendly i.e. 'get laid in 24 hours'. It may happen, it can happen, but it doesn't happen often and so many think it is owed them because they signed up. Even if you buy into this crap it doesn't give anyone the right to be abusive because a person said no thank you to you. People have to take responsibility for their own actions. There is only so much you can blame on ads and things. The people themselves decide what to write before they hit send.
