The revolution is dead!
The revolution is dead! After months of thinking about this, reading attempting to chat with people I no declare that the sexually revolution is now dead. Yup D E A D. How did I reach this conculsion, you ask? Well like the good scientist I am through simple observation and testing. I was at a party recently and a Black gentleman made an observation that there are no sexually taboos left. White woman openly lust for black men. Bisexuality has become open. Woman are free to chase what ever they want. We have made anything goes the rule. Our TV shows and every days words are filled with sex. It seems as though we have surrounded ourselfs with it so much, we lost interest in doing it. Over the last several months I have tried to IM with several couples or ladies. In spite of looking for racier profiles, the end result is the same. Nothing, not a word back. In the rare times I have heard something back, the next communication goes unanswered. It appears that the idea of sex is appealing but not the actual act. In some cases I have noticed many of the profiles spelling out more and more terms. Terms like, only black, only thick, only so many inches long, a very narrow age range, etc. Sadlly it seems like all the sites are like this. No action, no play. A couple I know told me they are having a tough time meeting other couples. Have we become so jaded with sex that doing is is becoming watching free porn on TV. The idea of actually DOING IT, no longer appeals to us? Or have we become so jaded that we only do it with an ideal that we are searching to find? The revolution is dead, it was good while it lasted. |

I have heard (well read) one LEO describe internet dating as the new Hitchhiking, so people, more often women than men have very real and reasonable concerns about the safety of meeting someone. Combine that with a mass produced, everything is available of the shelf immediately mentality, the dehumanizing effect of anomynous computer communication, and woman just being presented with so many options all the time it is pushing impossible for any man, especailly just an average or slightly sub par one like myself to get any signal through the noise. Even if I have their fleeting interest, in never lasts, there is always the next better model. My Point? I think that the sexual revolution is not so much dead as that I think that for men at least, internet as a venue to meet people has become a losing proposition.

Well in your first post you talked about people wanting everything now. So I assumed you were referring to women and men. Lol you do not date women and I do not date guys so I guess we are in the same position there. I understand and have been treated once to the lets get naked now and screw. Its kinda scary for some woman just to hit you up without even a little chat. Thank you for your insight and comments.

Interesting idea, I see your point. Then if so many want it in an instant then why do they not push to meet quicker? Or why in the middle of chatting do so many just stop chatting??
