Lights out at 10pm

I don't know how it is in the military today,but in basic ,AIT,and in the Reserves when we was on field training lights was out at 10pm except the latrine . What is lights out at your house

 There is no reason the light to be out at 10 pm in my area here. Don't have any severe rough weather to cause blackout.

Maybe because of government budget cut on fund, they turn off light at certain time at night.

 In the winter time it is early 8 to 10 but in summer time the sun does not even go down till 1030
This is not meant to offend any one in any way.

 I'm a bit of a night owl. My lights don't go out until the early hours of the morning.
