Second Last Day

Today is my second last day working at this particular place. The organization is merging next week with another company and no longer will require my services, sigh. This is actually the best place I work. I really like the people and of course its the place where the amazingly HOT co-worker works. I saw her this morning and she smiled and said "Sigh, only today and Monday". I said that I would really miss being here and would miss the people. She asked me if there was anyone in particular I would miss and I smiled and said "You."

Well that brought about a response I didn't expect!! She started to cry!! Wow...never expected that. She whispered that she would really miss me too!! Then left the room. I was quite stunned. I mean I have always lusted after her, she's like 22, slim, beautiful and very well put together. So why would she be interested in me, right? Yet that little tear and the quick exit made me think that maybe she really does...isn't that the coolest thing??

Now I know she's way to young, years yonger than my youngest , but it really does wonders for the ego...sigh...

That got me thinking about age again. You know it really isn't always a factor. Some people are very mature and settled when they're 20 something, others still aren't when they're 50 something. It is a very relative thing. Not that I would seriously believe that a long lasting relationship could develop between people who are 30 years apart in age, but who knows.

Anyway...kind of a sad day realizing that after Monday I won't be working here anymore....I guess all good things end eventually.

When people leave a job..... you always miss the people who touched you in some way.
What a wonderful thing to know you touched her is some way!

Good luck in the job coming up. That large of an age difference is OK for a romantic interlude, but I don't think would work in a long term relationship.

am sorry, work has ended for You in that place....the 20 something girl and how she reacted is very sweet....emotional time for everyone...when companies merge...

now we finally disagree on something, LOL...age...although life experiences can match someone decades younger and older than us...age is a gap that can't be bridge often...

my own experience at least...I was with a man 12 yrs. younger...outwardly we didn't look age wise that different...I look younger and he looked older...but boy oh boy...music, thoughts, ideas, experiences were as opposite as it could be...

my own soon to be EX hubby...over 20 yrs. my senior...He thought our age does not matter...it does...physically it has caught up more and more...he is ready to just be old...I have so much yet left in me...we are not compatible sexually at all...

sorry Babe'...for me age is vital...in many ways...what a 20 something wants now...is different when she gets older and wiser...

hugs

I agree that age can be a factor. It really does depend on the individual though. I have met some 50 year old women who are more like 30 and some 30 year olds who are more like 70...lol. But I do ageree with you that often age is a very big factor.

It is always a wonderful feeling to know that you will really be missed, no matter by whom.

Guess you must have touched some people there in some way or another... at least her..

Hey a good boost to the ego does wonders!
And she boosted YOUR ego.....so this is a good thing.
Now you can leave there knowing you are on someone's mind.
