 Way back when I was married, I usually avoided sex while she was on her period because, as I explained to her, "I prefer to not look like an axe murderer after we have sex..." For me, it wasn't so much a turn off as it was a terribly inconvenient bloody mess afterwards.

That being said, she did find that for some reason, a good hard fucking would really ease her cramps and on many occasions, she wanted to fuck for just that reason. Well, it may be messy, but a towel under her ass and turning the light off fixes that. I would happily oblige her if she asked. We usually took a shower together afterwards and she slept that night like a baby.
