The season for hot and wet

With subzero temps and some time off work, it has become soup, stew and chili season. It is hard to beat a big pot of turkey dumpling soup steaming the windows. Though there is a bowl of thick meaty venison stew. And who isn't stimulated by the aroma and taste of some tangy chili.

 got 3 portions of chili from my last batch in the freezer and probably will thaw one today...
