I am amazed!!

Songbird came here on Sunday. She and I got together before Christmas and i gave her my gifts. Small, mostly handmade, hopefully thoughtful, from the heart. She told me i had to wait till she returned from her holidays with the family as my gift hadnt arrived. Since my birthday is the week before Christmas, i had those gifts which, had they covered both Christmas and my birthday, would have been more than generous.

I live in a highrise, on the tenth floor so when she arrived i went down to meet her. She came in with one of our "make it easier to haul packages" carts on it was a large box. I looked and it was an Apple box, it didnt compute. I said, you are just using the box right? She said nooooo. She had a brand new computer!!!!!!

Why she bought me such an extravagant gift is beyond me! We are wonderful friends, have been for a long time and she knew I was saving for two things. A computer and a television. She decided to get me one or the other for Christmas.

I am so blessed with friends who have been supportive throughout my illness of the last couple of years, I often wonder why i am so lucky. My family doesnt like me much so i have always felt that i was not deserving. My friends have proven that to be wrong and I love them!!

Songbird and I have a bond that is unbelievable. She and I have been there for each other through many many things, many of which have never been spoken of in this medium. Suffice it to say, its been amazing!!

I do not equate my friends by what they give me and I mention the extraordinary Christmas gift of a brand new EMac just cuz its soooo totally cool!! Thank you Song!!

 Reality...it was not extravagant. I decided you needed something that no one else had ever used...you get to have so few new things. I did it cuz I love ya and cuz I could. Besides...I have a vested interest in your having a fast 'puter!!! Enjoy it!!

 I am a computer long time learner and have an iBook G4 Apple with plenty of space.
I am also a regular at the North Shore Shopping Ctr. Peabody Applestore. That Genius Bar
is a great place to get help. Also meet some very interesting people That emachine is a nce one. Please feel free to ask me for help. Don't forget Google. Amazing.Also, be sure to get
Tiger, the latest thing. It has "Spotlight" that puts you right into what application you ask for.
